Thank you for your compassion and for remembering the suffering of so many people who lost loved ones, houses, vehicles and other precious belongings in the aftermath of Ondoy.
Northern Luzon was hit by Pepeng and because of the lessons learned, a pre-emptive evacuation of 170,000 families were done. This saved so many lives.
Thank you. The images of the flooding and the painful memories will stay with us for a long time. But we will always remember how you heard our prayers.
Thank you for the younger generation that un-selfishly rose to the challenge and came in droves to volunteer their services.
Thank you for that young man, Manuel Magallanes who rescued 10 families during the flood. He lost his life when the wall collapsed on him. He was only 18 yet displayed such a remarkable sense of selflessness.
Thank you for the countries that immediately gave the help so that we could meet the massive needs of the evacuees.
We pray for the health of everyone at those evacuation centers. Protect the most vulnerable ones from airborne diseases. Please strengthen the hearts and hands of those who toil to help the flood victims.
Please bless our country and give us your mercy, love and compassion to rebuild our country.
