My uncle Peping was cremated this morning at 9AM. Last night, I gave a prayer service as requested by Kuya Elbert, my cousin.
I spoke on John 14: 1- 6 and talked about the promises of Jesus Christ to all of us.
1. He is preparing a place for us.
2. The beauty of that place that He is preparing for us.
3. He personally receives us as we cross to the other side.
At the closing prayer – I specifically asked for God’s favor for a good weather. It has been raining hard here and the streets of Manila get flooded in no time at all.
I did not get to attend the cremation – but early this evening, I got an sms from Jaypee ( he was the grandson who patiently took care of his dying grandfather) and he said “Your prayer for the good weather was granted, and we delivered “Papang” to his final resting place smoothly. Thanks!”
Thank you for answering that prayer I led last night for the cremation this morning.
My heart-felt sympathy for you and your family for the lost of a love one.
My words would not be enough to console your hearts in grief, but may you will be consoled by the thought that he is in a better place now.
Thank you very much for dropping by nook and for leaving such inspiring words. I feed these days in the encouraging words of people. I’m still working on a big project and you know how important it is to know that I’m somehow doing the right thing. I very much value your feedbacks.
Congratulations for moving to your new site to reach out more people with your words and works.
I wish you well.

Thanks Jeques.
Your poetry has gotten more poignant – and along with the paintings – your art is really touching.
Take care. Hope to meet you here in the Philippines or in Chicago sometime.
