We ended another youth discipleship camp yesterday. It started last May 14 and ended on the 16th.
A total of 107 campers from Luzon attended this camp and 27 staff ( part-time included)
Our theme revolved around Romans 12: 1 -2 and called for 3 major concerns:
1. Presenting our bodies as living sacrifices
2. Do not be conformed but be transformed
3. Renewal of the mind
and all these three things are undergirded by the call to “VIEW GOD’s MERCY as the motivation for doing these things.
We almost did not have anything for the young people in Luzon and Metro Manila – but God has been really gracious for touching the hearts of people and churches that offered their generous support.
Let me thank the following individuals:
1. Thank you counselors: Jocer, Brett, Jomel, Joel, Heidi, Ruth, Lorraine and Joyce. Thank you for your willingness to spend your time with 15 – 16 young people in the dorm. Thank you for your diligence in attending to their needs. Thank you Angie for standing in the gap and taking care of Dorm 4G while Joyce was still not around.
2. Thank you Orly, Edrei and Doris for all of your help in setting up for camp and other admin duties.
3. Thank you Ptr Ezra and Jina for your loving support to your youth camps. Thank you that you are both willing to work long and hard hours just to serve the young people with the awesome meals.
3. Chef Jun thank you for the meals and for leading the camp in worship and the discussions.
4. Thank you Jocer for the design of the streamer and for the pictures that we could hardly wait to see.
5. Thank you Crossway and Manila South for your financial support to make this happen.
6. Thank you Ninong Manny for the encouragement you gave me when we were in Daet and for spearheading the initiative to get the applications going.
7. Thank you Aron for assisting me again this year. I am at ease when you are around to help meet the admin needs of the camp.
8. Thank you Kuya Eugene for the ice-cream you sent for the young people. They all loved it!
9. Thank you Lovey for being with me and for your loving support. People do not realize how much my ability to run the camp depends so much on the encouragement you give.
Thank you Lord for yet again another successful youth discipleship retreat. Thank you that you love the young people so much and that in your wisdom and love, You allow us to even have a glimpse of that love that you have for them.
Thank you for calling them to a higher way of life. Thank you for revealing your thoughts upon them. Thank you for encouraging us when it gets difficult to minister to them because of their different needs and challenges.
May you have unhindered access in all of us – that you may totally change us from the INSIDE OUT!

PS. Jeremy, thanks for visiting as well and helping out with the discussion group. Don’t worry about the “nose-bleed” phenomenon… our campers are better off talking with you in English! Hahahaha
